There was a time when the world knew only Sanatan Dharma — the Eternal Truth. People worshipped the formless, universal spirit.
As human understanding evolved, notions of divinity began to take form — in fire, water, air, earth, and light. This led to the emergence of image worship, and gradually, diverse traditions arose: Shaivism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism — each a distinct expression of the same underlying truth.
Centuries of invasions, colonialism, and social upheaval fragmented this unity. Materialism, political strife, and a sense of division created walls within this shared family of faith. Yet, the essence of Hindu Dharma continues to thrive — because it inherently embraces the unity of science and spirit, intellect and soul.
In contemporary society, we need to rekindle that unity. Many Hindus today still confront social and economic challenges. If we aspire to rebuild a just and balanced society — a modern Rama Rajya — it is crucial for our spiritual leaders and saints to step away from their positions of comfort and engage directly in service. Through selfless action and a commitment to the community, they can help restore the moral foundation that once positioned India as a guiding light for the world.
